Emergency Relief Mission in Mindanao Island, Philippines (1/2)

On January 20th, Typhoon Lingling (local name is Agaton) hit Mindanao Island, southern part of Philippines, and caused landslides and flood which had a huge impact on local people's daily lives. According to the report of NDRRMC (as of January 23rd), 49 people were killed, and 69 were injured. 10 are missing, and 43,857 household (205,165 people) were evacuated.

In cooperation with Okayama Kurashiki Filipino Circle, AMDA dispatched a Filipino coordinator and a nurse to Mindanao Island on January 24th. They arrived in Davao city in Mindanao Island on the following day and started researching local conditions and needs.
