Signing Ceremony for exchanging Memorandum of Understanding between AMDA and TAEM in Thailand

On March 20th, 2012, a signing ceremony for exchanging Memorandum of Understanding between AMDA and TAEM (Thai Association of Emergency Medicine) was held at Rajavithi Hospital in Bangkok. Dr Yoneyuki Kobayashi, Senior Vice President of AMDA Group and Dr. Sant Hathirat, President of TAEM were representing the two organizations to sign the MOU. Among the other people present were Dean of the hospital, Dr.Jinaratana and young medical doctors and nursing staff taking ER training at the hospital.

AMDA sent three separate emergency relief teams from Japan to Central Thailand for the victims of massive flooding that hit in October 2011. We teamed up with TAEM and started dispatching mobile clinic. The relief supplies were also distributed to the people in the outlying regions of Nakhon Sawan, Nonthaburi, Phathum thani and Nakhon Pathom Districts. By signing MOU, AMDA and TAEM agreed on working hand in hand for the future relief efforts. The boat AMDA had procured to use as a mobile clinic upon the crisis of another flooding is now at Rajavithi Hospital, being maintained for future use.
