SUGANAMI Scholarship Foundation
was established in 2004, in Okayama, Japan, with a private
fund of Dr. Shigeru Suganami, President of AMDA.
The foundation aims to provide scholarship for capable young
medical students who are in need of financial assistance
to complete their studies.
The scholarship program was founded on the unfaltering belief
in the importance of education. The dynamism, which education
fosters, is an important factor in creating better tomorrow
for individuals, families, and communities and for the entire
world. The experiences, which Dr. Shigeru Suganami gained
through AMDA’s humanitarian work, have helped him to
reinforce his belief in education as an essential driving
force toward the world peace, the ultimate goal of AMDA.
The scholarship is now being implemented in Indonesia and
the Philippines with further plans to be launched in Myanmar
and India. Dr. Suganami hopes to extend the program in
29 countries where AMDA Chapters are located. |
